This recent update from Francis Sullivan CEO of the Truth Justice and Healing Council is giving plaudits to the Commonwealth and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull for the recently announced redress scheme and why he wouldn’t he.

The audacity in the welcoming it by the Catholic Church when it was the worst culprit and will be interesting to see what contribution it plans to make,[ with taxpayers money mind you] with all it’s tax exemptions and charitable status.

According to Professor Des Cahill whose credibility has been tried and proven revealed in his submission to the Melbourne Inquiry in 2012, at least one in 15 priests in Melbourne alone were abusers.

All toll with the secret deals one has to wonder nationwide just how many there really are and how much money has been handed over.

Indeed the Church as stated below, has been calling for an independent Commonwealth redress scheme that has the potential respond to the claims of survivors…….Catholic ones who had their backs to the wall for decades ignored hoping they would grow tired and pass away…

Then there’s the children deprived of their clerical [religious and archdiocesan ] fathers Francis Sullivan is aware of whose birthright came at a price including the discrimination and intimidation towards the mothers that bore them.
