In a Bali drug bust …
In a Bali drug bust sting you are on a roller coaster hurtling toward destruction and are quickly given two options.
1. Quickly buy your way out via succumbing to the demands for cash coming from the corrupt Bali police before the media or moreover the Australian government become involved and your case is too widely publicised or-
2. Take the long road through the Bali court system and inevitably succumb to the demands for cash coming from lawyers, police and prosecutors to secure a light sentence.
Pleading not guilty is simply not an option and will cause extensive misery to anyone compelled to do so..
Option 1 mostly involves corrupting both the police and operators at the forensic lab which is testing the drugs and is clearly not available to anyone with a drug posession matter that could embarass Australian airline carriers or airports such as for example the cases of Schapelle Corby, the Bali 9 and Robert Mcjannett where Australian Federal police are known to have played an integral role prior to and during all of their arrests at Denpasar airport.
Two of those Australian citizens are now executed whilst the remainder continue to live with shattered lives and the AFP are allowed to pretend they had no involvement. The bag of white powder in question was suspect at it’s lightest but you can make up your own mind about that. Perhaps the boy thought he was buying meth (shabu shabu) and got panadol instead? In Bali anything is possible all you need is cash and a body to carry it.
