Letter to the Editor on Malcolm Turnbull

Malcolm Turnball’s visit to America is a good example of Turnball grandstanding and egotistical reflection of him as a person;

I write this as I see he is very shallow on representing Australia as against him wanting to associate with overseas leader and the like.

I just wonder how he explained those alleged refugees who continue to live on Manus island when he was saying that Australia will take 15,000 persons from Central America, in addition to
the ones that come to Australia’s shore as boat people.

This country has enough dealing with alleged refugees arriving from South east Asia via Indonesia without creating more expense accepting more Refugees/Displaced person and other.

I suggest he sorts our own problems here without accepting the USA’s problems.

Did he go with the idea to accept 15,000 from Central America; did he consult his own Government, or did he offer on the spur of the moment to look good?

We have enough problems here with unemployed, creating jobs, people already collecting Welfare and do not want work without accepting alleged refugees or displaced persons.

Sort our own domestic problems, support your seniors who are on Pensions below the lowest wage scale.

Better the already failing Health system, and stop sending Aid to Countries that are not in need – Indonesia, India to name a few.

Let the Americans deal with there own problems, they are more financially capable than we are.

Mr Turnball work on sorting our Countries Debt Problems and Border issues before you start putting us further in the “crap”.

Stop Government wastage, increase jobs with new technology SOLAR etc..

There is a desalination Plant on the Gold Coast Queensland?

Which is sitting in mothballs, built but not used why?

Clear Manus, send them to the Refugee Camps in Thailand and accept the equivalent number that are classified as refugees and some waiting 8 years or more for Countries to accept them.

Make this a Policy to send them to the Refugee Camps and accept those waiting on placement who have been vetted and defined as true refugees, all refugees must learn English and
accept Australia’s way of life.

I worked in NZ as a Refugee helper and the policies there are sound and work, our Migration Minister needs to be more proactive and don’t just expect the Border Agencies to be
the only answer.

Kari hill tribe people I was helping as soon as they had a 6 week stay in a camp to learn about NZ were then set up in a house.

I enrolled the children at school and the mother went to English classes, it was most rewarding as we helped with donations from Supermarkets and friends.

Why do we allow Indonesia to be not apart of the issue as most come from Indonesia enroute to Australia.
