‘Cup Conscious Café’ initiative to tackle throwaway cups …
… launches in Hobart today as part of an international day of action
A visual action to introduce the ‘cup conscious café’ movement will feature a giant mug on which Hobart cafes will sign their name, to indicate that they willingly fill reusable cups for customers. Cafes joining can display ‘cup conscious café’ stickers to publicise their involvement.
Internationally, the Environmental Paper Network is launching a Cupifesto outlining the case against throwaway cups, and actions will also take place in China, Germany, the UK, and the USA.
