City Baptist Church invites you to Many People, One Earth …

City Baptist Church invites you to Many People, One Earth – a conversation in Launceston between various people of faith or no faith, at 7pm on Wednesday 14 September at City Baptist Church, 11 Frederick Street.

This is a free event, everyone is welcomed and no RSVP is required.

A panel of speakers have been invited to share their perspective and engage in a Q&A session:

• Venerable Choje Lama Shedrup, Abbott of the Palpung Tibetan Buddhist Institute and Dr Darren Phillips.

• Steve Cooper, Christian musician and speaker.

• Ruth Groom, Community Organiser in Launceston with the Wilderness Society).

• A Muslim speaker (possibly with a translator) has yet to be confirmed.

This will not be a debate. You are invited to come to listen, to enter into others’ perspectives. There will also be opportunity to chat over supper. We want this to be a relaxed enjoyable evening that builds bridges and causes us all to further reflect on our shared responsibility of earth-care.
