Thursday 17th March – HOBART

A Fundraiser for the Dooloomai Tarkine Wild School

In the tradition of Wild and Tracks, My Year Without Matches: Escaping the City in Search of the Wild is Claire’s story of how she left the city and found her soul.

Disillusioned and burnt out by her activist job, Claire quits a comfortable life to spend a year off the grid, building her own shelter, trapping food and lighting fires without matches. It is the story of a young woman on a journey of self-discovery, seeking to live a wild and precious life.

A guest at the Tamar Valley Writer’s Festival, Claire will be in Hobart for an in-conversation evening with the co-founder of pioneering tourism company Tarkine Trails.

Date: Thursday 17th of March
Time: 7pm for 7.30pm start.
Venue: Wild Island, The Galleria, 33 Salamanca Place, Hobart.
Cost: This event is a fundraiser for the Dooloomai Tarkine Wild School. Suggested minimum donation of $5.
