Saturday March 5th 1.00-4.00PM
Cosgrove Park Bowls Club
Waveney Street, South Launceston
Advocates for Medicinal Cannabis in Tasmania have organised a forum in Launceston to meet the overwhelming demand from the public who desperately seek information on Medicinal Cannabis.
Attending Speakers –
Sen. Anne Urquhart.
Lara Giddings.
Andrea Dawkins.
Harvey Cuthill and Melissa Verbeeten from Capital Chemist, Kings Meadows.
Bev Ernst – Psychologist.
Davina Gregory-Dunsmuir from Verdantec.
MPs will share their policy on medicinal cannabis. We will discuss the current pharmaceutical options available to Tasmanians.
We will also be discussing how to be self sufficient in your health care with growing tips and medicine making tips.
Advocates across the State are continually inundated by Tasmanians with questions concerning medicinal cannabis. Is it legal, how do we obtain the medicine, what is the government doing about this?
Most of the people who contact us are extremely unwell, or caring for a loved one who is ill. Many of these people are parents desperate to offer their children relief from cancer or catastrophic epilepsy.
Tasmanians young and old, living and dying in pain should have legal access to medicinal cannabis.
How can it be just that Tasmanians are forced to choose between breaking the law or finding relief for themselves or a loved one with cannabis therapy?
The forum organisers have endeavoured to present those attending with a good cross section of interested parties – Patients, MPs, pharmacists, psychologist, and cannabis industry.
Patient testimonials will include Tasmanians who use cannabis therapy for cancer, chronic pain, paediatric and adult epilepsy and more.
