Lambie commits JLN to protecting Health, Medicare, Universities, Defence, Veterans and Aussie jobs

JLN Independent Tasmanian Senator Jacqui Lambie has committed her political
Network to protecting public health, Medicare, universities, defence, veterans and
Australian workers from future government cuts, after predictions by the Victorian
Liberal President Michael Kroger that following a DD election, the JLN could pick up
2 to 3 Senators from Tasmania.

“ The Liberal Party’s polling may have predicted that following a DD election the JLN would gain 2 to 3 Senate seats in
Tasmania, but that won’t mean we’ll take anything for granted. We’ll work hard telling the people of Australia about
our policies – and one of the best ways of communicating directly with them is on-line.” said Senator Lambie.
“ That’s why I’ve posted my latest message on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. I want ordinary Australians to know
that if the JLN holds the balance of power in the Senate – we will make it very hard for whichever government is in
power in the lower house – to make funding cuts to Health, Medicare, Universities, Defence, Veterans and Australian
jobs” said Senator Lambie.
“I have a proven track record of protecting average Australian’s from $30B worth of Government cuts to vital services,
pensions and entitlements that the Liberals tried to ram through the Senate. However, I’ve also voted for $32B of
sensible budget measures which amounted to almost 75% of the Government’s legislation.
So it’s clear the only government chaos in Canberra has been self-inflicted by the coalition politicians who are deeply
divided – and continue to fight among themselves. It’s also clear their only tax plan is to force an increase in the GST
and take more from our poor. In the balance of power – JLN will stop that, just like we helped stop $5 Medicare Copayments
for each doctor’s visit and $100,000 university degrees.” said Senator Lambie.
