” It’s a national shame that Australian Maritime Engineers Stephen Dalton and Adrian Morris have lost their jobs to overseas workers on 457 visa’s. It shows that the 457 Visa System is broken. It’s now up to the Liberal / National parties to prove that they are going to stand up for Australian workers’ jobs – because it’s clear that they have been caught out turning a blind eye to Australia’s 457 Visa rorts.” said Senator Lambie.
“ Our 457 Visa System was introduced to fill labour gaps where Australian workers could not be found, however you don’t have to look far to find Australian workers who have lost their jobs to overseas workers – where no Labour gap is to be found.” said Senator Lambie
Radicalised Foreign Maritime Workers are a Security Risk
“Sacked Australian Maritime Engineers Stephen Dalton and Adrian Morris have explained to me how overseas Maritime workers – because of a complete lack of security checks – pose a significant security threat to Cruiseliners refuelling in Sydney Harbour.” said Senator Lambie.
“Foreign worker comes in from overseas … we don’t know where he came from. We don’t know what his credentials are – or who he associates with. You bring in a foreign worker who becomes radicalised … and you’ve got a fuel barge on Sydney Harbour tied up next to a cruise ship … there’s a risk factor.” said sacked Australian Maritime Engineer Adrian Morris to Senator Lambie.
