Speaking Up Workshop

Posted on

Have you ever wanted to write a letter to the editor about an issue you cared about, but didn’t know where to start? Then this FREE workshop might be just for you!!

Australia has been playing an important part in the global effort to eradicate extreme poverty. Recent cuts to the Australian Aid budget, $11 billion in total, will make it the least generous aid budget at any time in our nation’s history and will directly impact the poorest people and communities in our region. But we don’t need to stand idly by.

There are lots of ways that everyday Australians can make a difference and change the conversation, and one of these is writing a letter to your local paper.

Come join us and learn easy and effective ways to have your voice heard by thousands of people in your community and to let policy makers know that we’re proud of the Australian Aid budget and what it achieves.

When: Wednesday 9th March 2016

Time: 7.30pm – 9.00 pm

Where: 72 Tamar St Launceston
Tasmanian Land Conservancy Training Room
(opposite The Design Centre)

RSVP: by Monday 7th March to:
