Liberals must work to save Bradken jobs

Posted on

The Liberal Government must step in to save 100 jobs at Bradken in Launceston.

“I feel devastated for the 100 workers who have been told they will lose their jobs,” Mr Green said.

“I actually represented Bradken workers as a union official. They’re a dedicated team and I know they worked really hard over a long period of time to make that business as efficient as it possibly can be.

“The Liberal Government cannot sit on its hands and watch manufacturing jobs constantly being shed in Tasmania.

“What is the Coordinator General doing to keep these jobs in Launceston?

“Losing these manufacturing jobs, off the back of the closure of Caterpillar in Burnie, leaves our ability to manufacture in our state almost gone.

“The Liberals must now step in to save these valuable jobs.”
