Bradken Decision
It is extremely disappointing news that Bradken has decided to relocate to NSW.
We are supporting affected workers and the State Growth Skills Response Unit has been in contact with management and will be on site soon.
The Department of State Growth is engaging with management but we note there has been no request for assistance. As a supplier to Caterpillar they will have suffered the downstream effect of it’s decision to relocate to Thailand.
As a Labor senate candidate, rather than making demands which the company itself has not sought, Mr Short should play a constructive role and outline what he would do to protect the workers.
