Tasmania’s International Education System Shines at Awards

Posted on

This evening it was my pleasure to recognise excellence in international education across Tasmania at the 2015 Study Tasmania International Education Shine Awards.

By recognising international students, homestay hosts, community and staff members for their dedication, the awards help to build the growing international education sector in our State.

Tasmania benefits significantly from the presence and contributions of our international students and the Government has a plan to continue to build on our international student numbers.

The sharing of our world-class educational opportunities increases cultural, social and historical understandings among local students and the wider community.

The winners of these awards should be immensely proud of their achievements and I wish the students every success for their future careers, whether that be in Australia or in their home countries.
