More good news for shipbuilder Incat
Labor Leader Bryan Green has congratulated shipbuilder Incat on securing the contract to build a Danish ferry.
“This is another terrific announcement from a proud Tasmanian business,” Mr Green said.
“To secure this contract so soon after winning a $50 million deal for six Sydney Harbour ferries makes for a double dose of good news.
“Incat has a proud history of employing Tasmanians and putting our manufacturing skills on the map.
“Labor worked alongside Incat during more challenging times and was pleased to provide support to the business while in government.
“The employment boost comes at just the right time with other parts of the economy, including our mining sector, struggling for new investment.
“Congratulations to the team at Incat. It’s a very exciting time for the business.”
