Integrity Commission arrangements
I am pleased to announce that Mr Michael Easton has been appointed as Acting CEO of the Integrity Commission. Mr Easton is currently the Operations Manager for the Integrity Commission.
The current CEO, Ms Dianne Merryfull, announced her retirement last month. An Acting CEO is required to be appointed as Ms Merryfull is taking leave and finishing with the Integrity Commission today, but her resignation does not officially take effect until 19 November. I thank Ms Merryfull for her contribution to the Integrity Commission since her appointment in 2012.
Mr Easton’s appointment as the Acting CEO was recommended by Ms Merryfull, the Chief Commissioner and Board of the Integrity Commission.
As required under the legislation, the Joint Standing Committee has been consulted and supports the appointment of Mr Easton as Acting CEO.
