Bryan Green is wrong on Forestry Tasmania again.
I’ve been advised Forestry Tasmania has NOT re-employed any employees made redundant through the recent redundancy program.
Forestry Tasmania has been in contact with retirees and former employees who were not part of the recent redundancy program to see if they are available for firefighting duties over Summer.
As we’ve said previously, Forestry Tasmania will maintain its firefighting capacity under the restructure and the commitment to protecting communities has not changed.
Bryan Green’s a one trick pony throwing mud and hoping it sticks, however I’d urge him not to play politics with something as important as community safety.
