Dear Premier,

RE: TICT CEO Luke Martin.

You may have read today’s The Advocate, (please click here to read: link doesn’t work) in which the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania CEO
Luke Martin personally attacked me after I held a meeting with the Mayor of Geelong where we spoke about the possibility of
using a large catamaran, built in Tasmania, to transport passengers and vehicles quickly cross Bass Strait.

Mr Martin launched this extraordinary personal and political attack without even taking the time to contact either myself or my
office. And I understand, is one of the least qualified people to express views about the financial viability of projects.

As the Minister for Tourism, and the elected representative ultimately responsible for public comments and statements made by
our state-funded tourism body, do you condone the unprofessional and partisan comments Mr Martin has made in relation to the
re-establishment of a fast Cat service between Tasmania and the mainland?

I look forward to your response.

Yours Faithfully
