Treasurer Peter Gutwein has put the acid right on Will Hodgman to return from this week’s COAG leaders’ retreat with the $2.1billion ripped off Tasmania in the 20114/15 Federal Budget.

“Peter Gutwein has made it very clear that Mr Hodgman must get a guarantee the money will be returned,” Mr Green said.

“The Treasurer doesn’t seem interested in any meaningful discussion about tax reform, so the pressure’s on Will Hodgman to deliver the $2.1 billion over ten years.

“This is a real test of Mr Hodgman’s mettle and will show whether he holds any sway at all with Tony Abbott or Joe Hockey.

“All the tough talk will mean nothing unless Mr Hodgman receives a money back guarantee.

“Peter Gutwein says the Premier will ‘demand’ the $2.1 billion be returned to Tasmania, putting the spotlight firmly on Mr Hodgman.

“Joe Hockey won’t even acknowledge the money was taken off Tasmania, so is Mr Gutwein setting the Premier up to fail?
