A rally calling on the Government to change their Subsequent Appeal legislation to enable the Susan Neill-Fraser case to be heard in its entirety and ensure this miscarriage of justice is rectified will be held tomorrow.
Also an increase of $10,000 will be announced bringing the reward offered, for information leading to Sue’s release.
Speakers at the rally include Hobart lawyer, Greg Barns, Shadow Attorney-General, Lara Giddings MP, and David O’Brien, a Melbourne lawyer, former National Party Member of the Victorian Parliament and musician behind the Group Grand Jury.
The Band, Grand Jury, will be playing their protest songs, Songs for Sue during the rally and explaining how and why they formed as a band around this issue.
A family member will read a message from Sue, followed by 2 minutes silence to remember Sue and and Bob Chappell.
The Attorney-General, the Hon. Dr Vanessa Goodwin was invited to address the rally, but is unable to attend.
