The Treasurer Peter Gutwein is still refusing to release the modelling he used to promise 8000 new jobs.
“No one, including Mr Gutwein, has any idea how this target was arrived at,” Shadow Treasurer Scott Bacon said.
“Peter Gutwein again today flatly refused to release any modelling to back up his promise that the jobs package in the Budget would create 8000 jobs.
“Mr Gutwein needs to be honest with Tasmanians and provide a breakdown of where the 8000 new jobs will come from.
“People are understandably sceptical of Mr Gutwein’s jobs target, and instead of dodging scrutiny and refusing to answer basic questions he needs to come clean.
“If Mr Gutwein is able to justify his jobs promise, why won’t he come out and do it?”
