Labor Member for Derwent Craig Farrell has warmly congratulated the Derwent Valley Concert Band on its most recent success.

The band has won a swag of awards at the European Open Band Championships in Germany, including the event’s top prize.

“Every time the Derwent Valley Concert Band plays it does Tasmania proud,” Mr Farrell said.

“I offer my hearty congratulations following the band’s tremendous success at the championships in Germany.

“Layton Hodgetts and his talented band have again helped put the Derwent Valley on the map.

“I look forward to catching up with band members and hearing about their time in Rastede.”
