Labor Leader Bryan Green has been caught out using weasel words to try and pretend that he supports biomass being included in the Renewable Energy Target.

After claiming that he did support it, yesterday he admitted that he doesn’t in fact support native forest residue being used in power stations.

Instead, he apparently now only supports bio-energy plants on a “small to medium scale”, and even then he pointedly refuses to confirm he’d support native forest residues being used.1

Worse, he revealed that contrary to his claims, he is not lobbying Federal Labor to include biomass in the RET, but rather for a “compromise” which would see an “application process” that would no doubt be subject to so many hoops and jumps it would never happen.

Because he’s still captive to the Greens, Mr Green has been caught out trying to sit on the barbed-wire fence.

And everyone knows what happens when you do that.

No wonder the chatter is growing louder that his days as Labor Leader are numbered.
