As Design Leaders, we have done it again. Classic meets Contemporary in more ways than one:

Row on rivers, lakes, and coastal waters – when it suits, and safely – easy to car-top versions of the proven Derwent Skiff.

• Same beautiful and proven hull form of the Derwent Skiff – magical performance in a boat that will sit you up safely
• Classic version in clinker construction or Contemporary version in multi-chine construction
• Quick-release riggers that also stow inboard – very successfully developed for the Derwent Raider – clean and simple
• Quick-release stretcher using the Derwent Raider’s clever adjustment system
• Fully decked for added safety with five separate water-tight compartments
• Generous hatches for serious adventure/expedition stowage
• Provision for adding a mast for extra fun
• Option of traditional skeg or detachable transom-hung skeg (allows for adding rudder if serious about sailing)
• Designed for durability (leave it on top of the car) and for easy maintenance
• Construction – light-weight ply with careful use of glass and structure designed for high strength and rigidity.
• Finish – ply epoxy treated plus some glass and pigmented finish where consistently exposed to UV as on top of car

Great whole-of-body exercise, outdoors and without impact – exercise that’s attractive and enjoyable.

Suggestion: row with your mates to your favourite coffee shop. It’s a lot safer than cycling and no need for Lycra.

We are commencing builds now and expect the finished hull weight to be about 20kg or less. This is with the riggers and stretcher removed – hence the particular design attention to quick release fittings.
