MCCA volunteer’s go over and above for clients!

The generosity of volunteers who give up their time to provide services to clients and their carers, have been rewarded with a barrage of compliments from grateful recipients.

Operations Manager, Kathryn Edmunds, said “It is very important to provide volunteers with feedback and ensure that they receive the recognition they deserve.” Kathryn went on to say that “Volunteers are very humble about the work they do for the clients and ask for nothing in return.”

Mersey Community Care has a record of client comments that have been received and stored for posterity. Kathryn shared the comments that have been received from clients during the past six months, as well as some photos of a recent garden conversion that the volunteers completed. Kathryn went on to say that “All of our clients appreciate the wonderful work done by the volunteers, and without the volunteers our clients may not be able to live comfortably in their homes.”

The comments included:

“All your volunteers are a great help and are so lovely.”

“Dear Mersey Care, please accept a thank you for the splendid job the three men did on a garden tidy around my home today.”

“They left the site spotlessly clean and the job finished up better than I could have imagined, Sadly I cannot recall this man’s name, may I make a special mention to this man with all the details on how the job was to be tackled to his workmates and for his politeness keeping an eye to detail, also, for keeping me in the loop.”

“You have some very good volunteers in your teams.”

“What a wonderful job the volunteers did yesterday, also, a big thank you to Neville, for his great work.”

A client said that he was very thankful to the MCCA staff and volunteers who went out of their way to assist him with his transport as he is blind and his carer was unwell and couldn’t travel with him.

Kathryn emphasised that volunteers are always welcome to assist Mersey Community Care to continue delivering theses much needed services.
