Does Will Hodgman support Tony Abbott?
Labor Leader Bryan Green today called on Premier Will Hodgman to reveal whether he supports Tony Abbott as leader of the Liberal Party.
“It appears Tony Abbott’s Prime Ministership is terminal and Mr Hodgman won’t say who he’s backing for the leadership,” Mr Green said.
“It is important for Tasmanians to know whether Mr Hodgman supports the direction the Liberals are taking at a national level.
“Unlike many of his Federal Liberal colleagues, Mr Hodgman should state publicly whether he supports the Abbott leadership or not.
“We have seen the poisonous effect Tony Abbott has had in other States like Queensland and Victoria and it’s spreading right across Australia.
“It is a critical time in relations between Tasmania and the Federal Government with the policies of the Liberal Coalition directly impacting on our State.
“Does Mr Hodgman support the Tony Abbott or does he believe the Liberals should dump the prime minister.”
