Have your say on fracking
Not only do we have to remain vigilant about the pulp mill, now it looks like the Govt is keen to approve fracking in Tasmania. And this in spite of all the controversy surrounding the practice, and the appalling and negative public health aspects associated with it – especially where they involve the contamination of precious water supplies.
Needless to say the Govt is also doing its best to sneak the announcement in under the silly season radar, presumably hoping nobody will notice. Thankfully one sharp-eyed bod on this list did.
Please find time in your busy schedules to express your opinion about the unacceptable risks associated with fracking, and why it should never be allowed in Tasmania – or anywhere if it comes to that IMO.
We have until Friday 5th December to send in submissions – which don’t have to be screeds long – remember, a page will suffice!
