Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa tosses a fishing line for adults and kids
Forget the story about the one that got away, Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa has special fishing weekend that will take anglers back to basics and teach them everything they need to know about trout fishing.
The Introduction to Trout Fishing weekend will be held from November 7 to 9 and will be hosted by TV personality and fishing author Steve Starling.
Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa General Manager, Anthony Cleary said the weekend is suitable for adults and children wanting to get into the sport of lure fishing.
“Over the weekend, participants will learn the art of trout fishing using a spin rod and reel and casting soft and hard body lures. The combination of workshops and hands-on fishing sessions is great fun for the entire family,” said Anthony.
Workshops will focus on accuracy casting, distance casting, retrieves and lure selections.
“Some of the workshops will be held in function rooms and on the Village Green while others will be in the streams and river near Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa.”
Packages start from $355 per person* and include two nights accommodation, daily hot breakfast, lunch on Saturday, dinner on Saturday and Sunday, four workshop sessions (including refreshments), a Shimano trout gift-pack, and a late 3pm checkout on Sunday. This package is based on six people sharing a three bedroom Lake View Apartment. Other packages and room types are available.
