Russell-Smith Launch a Sign of Confidence in Economy

Posted on

The Liberal Government is committed to helping businesses create jobs and grow the economy.

The NAB Monthly Business Survey for September released yesterday reveals that business confidence continues to rise sharply under the Liberal Government. It has risen from 3 points in August to 18 points in September, meaning it is now by far the highest in the country with twice the rate of confidence of the next highest state.

In another clear sign of business confidence I was today delighted to attend the official launch of RUSSELL-SMITH in Hobart.

RUSSELL-SMITH was formed in June by new owners Shiromon De Silva and Janitha Sirimanne after the demise of PSG Russell Smith earlier this year.

It was terrific to see that the confidence existed for the new owners to start RUSSELL-SMITH and that they are continuing to look to expand the business across the state into the future.

The Liberal Government is proud to support Tasmanian businesses and we look forward to the newly launched RUSSELL-SMITH having a successful future and continuing to employ Tasmanians in the electrical and communications sector.
