Heads up people! Just One Thing is launched tomorrow!
SeaFM radio announcers, Paul and Woody will launch the Just One Thing campaign at
Rosny College tomorrow in an effort to bring young people out of the virtual world and
back to reality.
The campaign, which has been generated by Clarence Youth Services and the Road
Safety Partnership, targets mobile phone use in an effort to make young people safer on
the streets and more truly connected with their surroundings.
Youth Services Coordinator Caroline Bennett said that mobile technology had given
provided greater virtual connection to our family and friends but often causes a greater
disconnect with our immediate surroundings, which can have negative impacts on
safety and relationships.
“Just One Thing looks at mobile phone usage from four safety and social angles. The
message is to connect to reality, not just virtual reality, and to focus on just one thing at
