224 jobs to be cut from health
Labor Leader Bryan Green says the Liberal Government must immediately explain which health services will be cut in line with the 224 jobs announced today.
“You can’t slash that amount of jobs without removing services,” Mr Green said.
“The Liberals have completely broken their promise to not cut frontline services.
“How is Michael Ferguson going to remove 224 full time workers in eight months without severely affecting the way health is delivered? It’s simply not possible.
“These job cuts are on top of savings already enforced right across the health sector.
“Michael Ferguson is squeezing the life out of Tasmanian hospitals to pay for the Liberals’ election promises.
“The Treasurer’s contribution today lacked any sympathy for workers but his cuts will be felt right across the State.”
