Rank hypocrisy by Matthew Groom over Aurora sale
Labor Leader Bryan Green said criticism of the attempted sale of Aurora Energy’s customer base by Liberal energy Minister Matthew Groom was rank hypocrisy.
“It is a pathetic attempt by Mr Groom to rewrite history,” Mr Green said.
“The Liberals were in lock step with the Labor Government’s reform of Tasmania’s electricity industry and that included the sale of Aurora’s customer base
“The sale process was undertaken by Treasury at arm’s length from Government and Mr Groom knows that.
“The energy reforms delivered signification power price reductions which the Liberals are now all too happy to take credit for which shows them up as the hypocrites they are.
“The challenge now for Mr Groom is to stop playing politics and get on with the job.”
