Petrusma at a loss over missing $1 billion

Jacquie Petrusma is still unable to explain how more than $1 billion worth of assets can disappear into thin air.

Ms Petrusma put out a wishy-washy media statement which provided no clear-cut answers to questions about the write down in the value of DHHS assets.

Both the minister for health and the minister for human services have been unable to clearly explain the missing $1 billion from their portfolios.

“Where have the assets gone?” Shadow Health and Human Services Minister Rebecca White said.

“Jacquie Petrusma and Michael Ferguson continue to change their stories and shift the blame.

“Michael Ferguson clearly doesn’t know the difference between land and properties and will need to correct the record over his incorrect update to the house on Thursday night.

“The fact is neither Mrs Petrusma nor Mr Ferguson are across their portfolios.

“These Ministers will not be able to hide behind media minders and spin statements during budget estimates.

“They will need to get across their portfolios, get their stories straight and actually answer questions over issues that affect thousands of Tasmanians.”
