Edge Radio Funding
The Liberal Government is a strong supporter of Edge Radio.
Edge Radio is an important community asset that provides an independent voice and a valuable training experience for many Tasmanians.
The former Labor Green Government failed to make any budget allocation in the forward estimates for Edge Radio.
We recognise the value of Edge radio and that’s why we are providing $50,000 in funding to ensure it can continue its great work.
This one-off payment will ensure Edge Radio can broadcast for another year while it continues to apply for competitive funding through Arts Tasmania and secure a long term future for the station.
