Incidents of flooding can have devastating impact on commercial activity, particularly on Hobart Road, and on the community’s overall sense of safety.
The Liberal Government together with the Launceston City Council will deliver these vital works as part of the council’s forward works program.
The project is expected to cost about $6 million. The Liberal Government will provide $3 million, which is funded from the $500 million in budget savings we have already identified.
The Liberal Government is delivering on its promise to the people of Launceston to help the city achieve its full potential.
