Congratulations to Lark Distillery

The Liberal Government congratulates Lark Distillery on being named Australia’s best small business at the 2014 Telstra Business Awards last night.

This is fantastic recognition for Bill Lark and his team, who have helped put Tasmania on the map as a world-class whisky producer.

Small business is the engine room of the Tasmanian economy, with over 36,000 small businesses operating in Tasmania, employing more than 105,000 people.

Lark Distillery is another example of a Tasmanian business starting small and thinking big.

In a relatively short amount of time they have established a reputation as a world-class producer of whisky. The success of the Lark Distillery has been an integral part of putting Tasmania on the map as a whisky producer and destination.

Bill has been instrumental in encouraging this burgeoning reputation through the success of the Lark Distillery, but also through his support and encouragement of other Tasmanian producers.
It is fantastic to see Lark Distillery rewarded on a national stage.
