Malaysian Airlines Tragedy

Posted on

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the Malaysian Airline tragedy.

With 27 Australians feared dead in this terrible tragedy the Tasmanian Government is maintaining contact with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to ascertain whether Tasmanians are among those who have lost their lives.

This tragic event has left many grieving the loss of loved ones. I will advise Tasmanians as more information comes to hand.

If you have concerns for family or friends, you should attempt to contact them directly. If you are unable to contact them and still hold concerns for their welfare, you should call DFAT’s 24-hour Consular Emergency Centre on 1300 555 135.
