Trial of Nicolau Francisco Soares
The children and family of Dr Delys Weston and Professor Gavin Mooney advise that a media statement will be made at the conclusion of the trial.
The family ask that the media be respectful of the family and not seek interviews prior to this time.
Dr Weston’s children would like to express in unequivocal terms that, in the context of grieving the loss of their beloved parents – Del Weston and Gavin Mooney – they also love their brother Nic.
The family asks that, in reporting on the trial, efforts are made not to label and stigmatise people with mental illness.
