Rally to Respect World Heritage to coincide with opening of World Heritage Committee meeting
TODAY – 12 Noon – Parliament Lawns
Tasmanians will get an opportunity today, to send a direct message to the World Heritage Committee that they love, respect and want to retain World Heritage protection for some of the state’s most spectacular forests.
The Rally coincides with the opening of the 2014 Committee meeting, where the Abbott government’s application to remove forests from the World Heritage list, so they can be logged, will be considered.
