Jeremy Rockliff: Government Welcomes Reappointment of UTAS Vice Chancellor
The Liberal Government welcomes Professor Peter Rathjen’s reappointment as Vice Chancellor of the University of Tasmania.
Professor Rathjen has been a passionate advocate of UTAS and higher education in Tasmania since his appointment in 2011.
He is an internationally recognised academic leader who has done an excellent job of growing the University and making it more accessible and attractive to Tasmanian, interstate and overseas students.
I look forward to continuing to work closely with Prof Rathjen to promote the value of higher education to Tasmanians and ensure continued growth and academic excellence at UTAS.
