Bryan Green: Liberals play party-political game with public service
Labor will write to the Acting Ombudsman and Auditor-General regarding the blatant politicisation of the public service by the Hodgman Government.
“The Liberal Party has responded to Right To Information requests about the action that has been taken against their job creation policies with blatant election campaign propaganda,” Labor Leader Bryan Green said.
“This is a gross politicisation of the public service that risks undermining the integrity of the RTI system.
“The Liberal Party material does not constitute official government documents and should not be treated as such.
“Worse still, they contain disparaging political remarks and are clearly branded with the Liberal Party logo.
“It is disgraceful that party-political propaganda is being passed off as official government material.
“The Premier needs to explain what control he and his office have over responses to RTI requests and provide assurances that the system will not be abused by his government.”
