Bryan Green: Hodgman trying to serve the champagne on his own honeymoon

Posted on

Will Hodgman’s 100-day honeymoon is coming to an end with the mother all self-congratulatory sessions.

Labor Leader Bryan Green said the Liberals are patting themselves on the back for everything from Parliament sitting to achievements of the previous Government.

“This is an inexperienced Liberal Government with delusions of grandeur,” Mr Green said.

“After writing a few letters, commissioning a couple of reviews and bringing back caged eggs, the Premier thinks it’s time to start popping champagne corks.

“Will Hodgman’s even taking credit for work done by the previous Government.

“The Homeshare program is a classic example of the Liberals unashamedly claiming victory for something someone else did.

“This is an arrogant Government still drunk on March’s election win.

“Will Hodgman got the election result he wanted but so far he’s lacked substance and demonstrated a glaring lack of vision.

“It’s time the Liberals started providing answers to the tough questions, not just the questions they write for themselves.

“Tasmanians deserve to know what services will be cut to pay for the Liberals’ extravagant election promises.

“Will Hodgman gave himself a ‘tick, tick, tick’ today but we’re afraid something’s about to go kaboom.”
