9jumpin to stage first ever “Tweet of Origin” battle
Tuesday 27 May, 2014: Nine’s telecast of the NRL’s 100th State of Origin game will be taken to the next level by the Network’s state-of-the-art website and app, 9jumpin, this Wednesday 28 May at 7.30pm AEST.
Off the back of 9jumpin’s impressive first Origin appearance last year, Nine has added all-new features for the 2014 series.
For the first time, Origin fans can experience 9jumpin on the web at 9jumpin.com.au (as well as on iPad and iPhone).
9jumpin is also bringing back the popular multiple camera angle replays, just moments after the action – along with up-to-the-minute live match and player profiles, statistics and scores.
NEW to 9jumpin is “Tweet of Origin”, the social media battle for footy fans:
• 9jumpin will gather Origin social media buzz and stage a real-time digital battle to determine which team is trending, and declare which state has the most vocal online fan base, at any given stage in the game.
• Capturing the social media frenzy around the game and profiling top tweets from past players, sports commentators and Nine celebrities, as well as a live feed of fans’ Instagram photos.
Also NEW in 2014 is the best of Origin historical footage replays: fans can relive their favourite moments in Origin history, from every camera angle available it the Nine archives. New technology has been “app”lied to old games, so fans can watch their favourite Origin moments ever, with a range of camera angles and replay options to choose from.
Commercial partner for the broadcast, Holden, have extended their Origin sponsorship to the second screen – partnering with 9jumpin as the presenting partner behind the popular multi-camera angle replays.
9jumpin features for State of Origin – Game 1:

9jumpin’s multi-angle feature will be available on web, iPhones for State of Origin – Game 1, 2 and 3.
9jumpin’s Rebecca Haagsma said Nine was serious about building up the product to become the leading digital platform for all things Nine.

9jumpin is now the home of all Nine TV shows – all show websites and catch-up TV. It’s also recently had a rebrand. 9jumpin will sport a bold new logo, launching for State of Origin – Game 1. The striking magenta and yellow icon, will be grabbing fans’ attention right across the broadcast.
