2014 Tasmanian Bocce Team participation at 2014 Australian Bocce Championships, McLaren Vale SA

Posted on

McLaren Vale is hosting the 2014 Australian Bocce Championships from 30 May to 2 June for the first time, and it comes at a very exciting time for the region with the famous Sea and Vines Festival just one week after the Championships.

Tasmania will be represented with a Men’s team consisting of John Venettacci and Andrea Ramondino, with Jackie Ramondino coaching the boys for the third time.

Andrea returns to South Australia to try and snatch an Australian Bocce title in his State of birth. Hopefully some of his relos will turn up and cheer him on to glory, having last year been a Precision Throw finalist. Hopefully Andreas dreams will come true and he will be part of the first Tassie team to bring home an Australian Senior Bocce title.

John is ready and rearing to go, to bring home the lasagna for Tasmania. Yes that’s right John doesn’t mind his pasta (preferably with a plain tomato sauce, just ask him!), but he would much prefer to clean up on the Bocce court in McClaren Vale, Tassie certainly hopes he does so.

Jackie is keen for the Tassie team to do their best, and is proud to be leading this Tassie side to South Australia for the Australian Bocce Championships. With the lure of some fabulous McClaren Vale wines, she has some realy good tips and tricks to get he boys focused on the job. Tassie certainly hopes that Jackie’s tactics work!
