Doors open to new Glamorgan Spring Bay Council offices

Posted on

Today’s opening of the Glamorgan Spring Bay Council offices underscores the sense of community that is so strong in the region.

I was very pleased to officially open the offices, which have consolidated staff previously housed across several locations.

This is a community unified in creating a prosperous and vibrant place to live.

It is a coastal community focussed on its considerable strengths and natural assets, including the tourism gems Freycinet and Maria Island national parks.

Selecting Triabunna as the location of the new council offices is a recognition of the town’s status as the commercial hub of Glamorgan Spring Bay.

The Glamorgan Spring Bay Council, its councillors and dedicated staff exemplify the positive and proactive role a council can play in building a sense of community.

It is wonderful to see the completion of the work to transition these premises in to such fine offices, which will be a contemporary local government workplace, council meeting location and community hub.

I was also pleased to acknowledge the achievements of the Mayor Bertrand Cadart whose dedication, tenacity and passionate commitment to this region is widely regarded.
