Tony Mulder: Obstructionist LegCo … ?
Interesting to see those who claimed LegCo was obstructionist in not agreeing to Labor-Green legislation such as same sex marriage or the TFA ( issues I supported) are now insisting I obstruct the new government’s agenda!
At least Hodgman told the people what he was going to do.
If not a mandate, it would be a broken promise if he does not wind back the forest deal.
If he gets it wrong the people will judge him in 4 years time – that’s democracy.
To my fellow MLC’s, might I remind you how often you have said that it is not our role to obstruct government policy – or is that protection only afforded to socialists!
Suddenly, those calling for abolition of the obstructionist LegCo just 6 months ago are now begging it to obstruct the newly elected givernment – go figure!
