Investing in the Public Sector

The Greens announced their public sector policy initiative today, promising to hire more teachers and teacher aids as well as improving productivity in the public service.

“The Greens believe that the public sector actually needs to increase in certain targeted areas such as extra teachers and extra teacher assistants in our schools, we have no plans to further reduce the size of the public sector, unlike the Liberals who have a plan to reduce the public sector not by the 500 jobs they keep talking about but by over 1200 jobs.”
