Sports grants available
Sporting clubs, community groups and local governments are encouraged to apply for a sport and recreation grant, said Mr Guy Barnett, Liberal candidate for Lyons today.
“These grants are terrific and will boost more physical activity and fun. Major and minor equipment upgrades of sporting facilities, grounds and surfaces are all eligible for funding. Applications for major grants between $15,000 and $80,000 are due by 29 January. Minor grant applications between $500 and $10,000 are assessed quarterly,” Mr Barnett said.
