Tim Morris: Growth signs in Tasmanian economy
The Tasmanian Greens’ Economic Development spokesperson Tim Morris today welcomed latest economic data confirming Tasmania’s economy was growing.
“Confidence leads to more confidence, and these positive growth figures are a good sign that investment conditions are improving in Tasmania,” Mr Morris said.
“The current path of economic growth in Tasmania is steady and sustainable, and Tasmanians can feel confident that conditions will improve further.”
“Don’t listen to the political misery-merchants who endlessly wallow in gloom. Tasmania is a great state that has what the world wants, and what the world is increasingly prepared to pay for.”
“We are already starting to see the tremendous economic opportunities that flow from the shift to a creative, low-carbon, high-skilled economy.”
