The Sale and Supply of Alcohol to Youths (Police Offences Act 1935) legislation was enacted in Tasmania in 2009, and many parents would like more information about alcohol and young people.

The Drug Education Network (DEN) in conjunction with Tasmania Police are pleased to introduce

• The Tasmanian Teen Drinking Law Facilitator’s Manual. The Facilitators Manual is a guide for educators and health professionals to run forums about the legislation.

• An animation titled “Sale and Supply of Alcohol to Youth” which provides an overview of the legislation regulating the supply of alcohol to people under the age of 18 years, at home and on private property.

• Party Rules – a guide for parents and young people booklet designed to assist parents and young people to work together to host a party with tips for conversations with young people attending parties.
