Fittest man on the planet visits Tasmania in support of health and wellbeing in the workplace
Former Australian Ironman surf lifesaving champion and Health and Wellness Ambassador, Guy Leech,
will be in Tasmania tomorrow as part of WorkSafe Tasmania Month, to support positive health and
wellbeing in the workplace.
With Australians spending around one third of their lives at work, it makes good sense to consider the
workplace as an important setting to improve health and wellbeing.
Healthy employees are more productive, more engaged in their work, have less sick leave and have
greater levels of energy and concentration.
For the first time ever, WorkSafe Month will feature an interactive tradeshow to provide Tasmanians
with easy access to practical tools and resources for managing health and safety in the workplace.
Tradeshow participant Bupa, will be providing Tasmanians with information about health and wellbeing
and the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle.
WorkSafe Tasmania Month, which runs from 30 September – 1 November 2013, is part of a nationwide
effort to raise awareness about work, health and safety, as well as reduce work-related injury, illness and
death.
